What is recorded during OE-spec reconditioning
Every unit follows the same inspection: three process stages, twelve component assessments and an engineering review. The record keeps each result whichever way it goes.
Three outcomes, recorded per component
Green
Acceptable. No action required.
Amber
Discussed with the technical department before work continues.
Red
Not acceptable. The component is replaced, or the unit does not proceed.
Before the unit is opened
Visual inspection and serial capture. We record whether an original Adwest serial number is present, capture it, and photograph the unit as delivered.
Test specifications, before strip-down. Internal leak and external leak are recorded with the leaking area named. The trim value is measured against a stated tolerance: a trim value below 6 is within tolerance.
Strip-down. The unit is dismantled and every component below is assessed individually.

Engineering review
The record closes with an overall assessment, whether technical department sign-off was required, the named reviewer, the date, and the new serial number issued to the reconditioned unit. That new serial is what links the finished box back to this record.
